Nagda Lhamu Bhote, a Grade One student at Popti Bhyangyang Basic School. Born with a physical disability in her left hand, her parents once feared she might be teased in the classroom. But after attending NELHOS awareness programs, they gained confidence and now send her to school regularly, treating her education as equally important as that of her siblings.Her parents, Kingsang and Nimalajik Bhote, shared, “We were worried that our daughter might be teased in school, but after the awareness program, we understood how to support her and why education matters for every child.”

Nagda’s teacher, Angdawa, also explained how training helped him improve his teaching approach: “The awareness program taught me how to care for and provide equal education to children with disabilities. Now, such students are welcomed and supported in the classroom.”
