NELHOS Nepal and Bhotkhola Rural Municipality (BRM) Education Sector / Youth Sports Section jointly conducted a successful three-day ECD and Mother Tongue Subject Teacher Training in Hatiya from May 12 to 14.
The Early Childhood Development (ECD) Teacher Training was facilitated by Mrs. Kamala Adhikari with support from NELHOS staff. A total of 13 teachers from various schools in Bhotkhola and Makalu Rural Municipalities participated in the training, which emphasized child-centered, interactive, and participatory teaching approaches (games, Songs, Paper crafts, etc.).
Major takeaways from the training:
The Mother Tongue (MT) Subject Teacher Training was facilitated by roster trainers Mr. Genda Angjuk and Mr. Chhewang (BRM Education officer), with assistance from NELHOS staff. Seven teachers from various schools in Bhotkhola and Makalu Rural Municipalities took part, where they were introduced to the new integrated curriculum, its learning objectives, and trained in child-friendly teaching methods.
