Genda Angjuk Lhomi, a resident of Rukuma, Ward No. 2 of Bhotkhola Rural Municipality, is a teacher by profession. He has been involved in teaching for a long time and is currently serving as both a Mother Tongue subject teacher and the principal at Makpalung Basic School. According to Genda Angjuk Lhomi, teaching in the Mother Tongue has led to improvements in other subjects as well. He mentions that students have started scoring better in mathematics, science, and other subjects. He also shares that communication between teachers and students has improved when the Mother Tongue is used as the medium of instruction during learning activities. He notes that students now attend school regularly and can build strong relationships with teachers.

Furthermore, he mentions that parents are also able to assist their children more easily with homework. When parents hear the content from the textbooks, they are very happy. He explains that when the Mother Tongue-Based Basic Education program incorporates the Mother Tongue as a subject in every school, it not only enhances education but also increases community support and participation.
